C Channel

Would c channel 100x50 be structurally strong enough to support a 2 meter square roll off roof without end posts but with centre supported angular trusses

Hi Trevor

I think it would depend on how thick it is. If only 1mm no, 20mm easily.

Do you know the thickness?

It might also depend on whether it is hot rolled open section, or structural steel hollow section.

I suggest ask the supplier.

Trevor,
The answer is yes.
I used the standard 100 x50 purlins for my 3m x 3m roll off roof.
Three 100mm diameter wheels on either side.
When I get the chance I’ll upload a few images of the roof etc.
