11th Oct Sunspots

11th Oct 0.30 UT.
Some nice sunspots today mostly in the Sun's northern hemisphere. These images are both single exposures with a canon 550d camera attached to a 81 mm WO refractor, Herschel wedge at 540 nm. The main group is AR 3112 which showed some flaring yesterday.

They are some beautifully clear single shots there John! My wedge just arrived, but it also included clouds...

Well done John! Only cloud here today. Most likely by the next time we get to see the sun, those active regions will have rotated round the limb.
