Saturn and Jupiter Sunday 2 October 2022

We took a risk and imaged Jupiter early and therefore very low just because we wanted to capture the GRS.
We were quite amazed when we processed the Saturn images and clear as a bell we saw Iapetus. A first for us! Usual caveat re processing enhancing the moons.

Fantastic shots! Must have been some great seeing to be showing such detail at low altitude. We’ll be surveying the clouds for the next week up here so keep ‘em coming!

Thanks David.
It was a better than usual night but unfortunately all good things come to an end. High cloud tonight and it looks like more cloud for the rest of the week. It's been fun while it lasted.
