I relocated my observatory, and my address. Now living under a Bortle 2 sky. Finally everything has been comissioned. I have not imaged nor processed in a couple of years. Building a new house, moving to a new address, and tearing down and recomissioning an observatory all take time. So as one of my astro buddies suggested, try an "easy" targey. I had a few clear nights. This was the best I could come up with.

Hearty congratulations on a fine first light image from your new observatory Pete, it's lovely, with beautiful sparkling stars. Totally know what you mean too, the last 12+ months has been (and still is) a bit of a whirlwind for me too

Mike

Thanks Mike. The good thing is eventually it all falls into place, and with your place, its going to be truly excellent when it does!

Nice image and congrats on your move Peter! Looks like a great location ~750m elevation, Bortle 2. Nice.

We made a rural move 4.5 years ago and haven't looked back! Bortle 2 as well but could be creeping into Bortle 3 given our proximity to Goulburn . Took me 2 years to get around to restarting my observatory - mostly procrastination. The bad news is the lousy weather hasn't really relented for 14 months now.

Cheers, Marcus
