M16

M16 nebula imaged with 12 inch f5 Newtonian on an eq6 mount. I had to use shaft extender and 3 weights to balance the 20kg telescope. Also used a Paracore coma corrector type 1 with my Pentax kx DSLR. Only 17 images stacked on Deep sky stacker.

Looks good Greg.

When the skies finally clear, I might have to give that one a try as well.

Cheers,

Agree. Particularly notable that the stars look quite round. I used a big Newtonian on an EQ6 and found it to be very sensitive to air movement - you did well.
