M8 Lagoon Nebula

M8 Lagoon nebula imaged with 12 inch f5 Newtonian on an eq6 mount. I had to use shaft extender and 3 weights to balance the 20kg telescope. Also used a Paracore coma corrector type 1 with my Pentax kx DSLR. Only 20 images stacked on Deep sky stacker. I like the way the dark nebulas look like there hanging in front of the bright back ground, almost 3D affect.

Good effort there, Greg. That Pentax picked up a bit.

Nice one Greg! Reckon the eq6 would have been pretty well maxed out with that load!! Yes those globules are a real feature of targets like m8. Gives real contrast to the emission nebula surrounding them. Well done
