Celestron Field Tripod
Celestron 9x50 finder + Telrad
Bob's knobs collimation screws (fitted)
JMI transport case (encloses OTA and forkarms) (valued at A$540)

This scope has had its motor control board upgraded to address servo vibration issues that hinder many original Nexstars. It's an outstanding performer both visually and photographically (renowned Celestron optics) with carbon fibre tube for low thermal expansion qualities reducing the amount of time you need to refocus as ambient temperature drops. Minimal mirror flop experienced with well greased baffling tube. Fastar compatible for F/2 imaging. Motor firmware is 4.4, hand controller is 1.6.

Reason for grand Easter sale - This equipment does not fit into my future astrophotography project plans and will simply sit in the garage collecting dust. Might as well be used by someone else.

Happy Easter!

PM me if your interested. Thanks for looking.

Gotta say your pricing on the Lumicon Giant easy Guider is a bargain!!!
Anyone with a SCT should SERIOUSLY consider getting this unit. It gives f5 performance and for guiding can't be beat. I've been using mine for the last few months and its absolutely great!!!

Indeed... to buy this new from Bintel will set you back $499.
Nothing but the lowest prices here, but I'll never compete against StrikerMart.

Losmandy OTA counter weight rail w/2.5lb weight for C11 or M10

After receiving a few messages about the Losmandy OTA counter weight, I thought I’d explain what this does…

This component will work with both fork or GEM mounted OTA’s. For fork mounted OTAs, it sits on the bottom of the OTA. For GEMs it sits on the top. The weight is slid and fastened along the rail to obtain optimal balance.

Why is this important? Inherently SCT OTA’s are back heavy as this is where the primary mirror resides. Usually the combined weight of the corrector plate and secondary mirror balance the weight of the primary mirror, however when you begin to add accessories on the back of the OTA such as 2” eyepieces, Crawford focusers or cameras, the weight is no longer balanced. This is where the Losmandy OTA counter weight assists. Those serious about astrophotography will realise the criticality of good balance. Good balance can also reduce the wear on your equipment motors and gear.
Thanks.
