Smile My Clever Wife

Next time you are in a bookstore see if you can spy a copy of my wife's new children's picture book about a Tasmanian Devil

Its been published nationally and if you have a few spare pesos on you you can even purchase it through Spanish Amazon.

Excellent!

That is a big achievement. It's not easy to get a book published.

Nice one. That would be a dream come true I'm sure. Looking forward to reading it and many more in the not too distant future.

Well done! It is really hard to get anything published. My wife waited - on her first book - 2 years, then the publisher went bust and took her manuscript. Has your wife tried Firefly Press (Qld)? Last year she received out of the blue a cheque for over $2000. Well, some of it had to go towards a Hyperion EP- didn't it??
She also writes picture books and blackline masters for early primary. That book was called "Special Days" Another good publisher to try is Ready Ed Publications in Perth.
Keep going

Thanks for the info. It can be a real dog eat dog industry so you have to watch the publishers pretty closely. Thankfully Christina has an agent working on her behalf who is probably worth twice what we pay for the privelage.

Christina will be in Adelaide in acouple of weeks speaking at a conference and is looking forward to meeting Max Fatchen who she has illustrated for previously.

Thanks for your comments

Congratulations to your wife, wow what a wonderful thrill that would be !

I melt when I see one of my images published in the astro mags, let alone having a whole book published and for sale on the shelves.

Thanks

Thanks for all your comments. Christina sends her thanks for your interest.

Lets all hope and pray that scientists can find a cure or control for the facial tumor disease affecting these very misunderstood creatures.
