Its called composition leon.. seroiusly though the goto is was out by that much..Got it closer in the secod run, but it got cloudy...

focus still a bit soft too I think, or collimation, anyone piont me in the right direction..?

thanks jjj a tree in the background would have been appropriate.

globs Im finding are difficult as the resolution to reveal detail requires good guiding and focus, nebs are more forgiving. I take my hat of to a good glob imager..

Great start Shawn ! It's quite a nicely resolved glob with some nice blue stars coming through.

Hi Shawn, globs are such tricky little beggars not to over expose. I think you have done a great job, it's nicely detailed right into the core.

It took me ages to get it right with globs but I found keeping my exposures down to 1 or 2 seconds and stacking around a 100 to 150 images really helped.

Very nice image. It's also good to hear from people that are using unmodded DSLRs, since my budget won't stretch to a modded one any time soon.

Ive considered performing the surgery myself, when under the influence of drugs.... Looks striaght forward enough, but no matter what it is I fix normally there are parts left over...

It's called the rule of thirds Leon.

Nice effort as well Shawn. I'd love to try my hand at imaging some globs. I look forward to the day I have the necessary equipment to try some 'globography'.
