James web telescope mirror alignment completed

[Just seen this stacked image for the James webb telescope
First stacked image after mirror alignment there would some sighs of relief by people involved

That’s only the first tentative alignments. They still have a long way to go to get a coherent single science star image.

finally a perfect image and you can even see distant galaxies!

You can imagine the anticipation and excitement building as these final steps keep producing optimal results. I rough-counted at least 2 dozen faint fuzzies in that image.

wow, most of the objects in that image are galaxies... amazing.

Hi Adam,.

Yes - it is actually working.
It's hard to believe as it has been such a long complicated process to
get to this point where even a small thing that went wrong
could have ended it.
I can't wait to see all the pictures soon.
