Silver Spitfire: The Longest Flight

Very interesting documentary on ABC tonight.

In 2019 two intrepid aviators attempted to fly a Silver Spitfire around the world, taking in some of the most famous landmarks on the planet from the Grand Canyon in the West to the snow-capped peak of Mount Fuji in the East.

Great documentary - and you can watch it on ABC iView catch-up at any time, you don't need to wait for the scheduled screening times.

It was fun to watch.

Brought back memories of my youth and flying solo (a ferry flight) across the Indian Ocean in a single engine bug smasher from Pretoria to Melbourne....

In hindsight, probably wouldn't do that again

I remember that story. I reckon they would have rolled off the red carpet for you if you landed in a silver spitfire though.
