The Moon is Orange tonight. Volcano?

From Cairns, the Moon has a distinctly orange hue tonight.

Sunrise today was very colourful and the Sun looked like it had a Zeke filter this morning.

I guess it is from the volcanic ash cloud. How is it in your area?

Cloudy here but from what I've read the ash cloud is providing colourful sunrise and sunsets along the east coast.

Should be visible I would think.

Earlier eruptions at Pinatubo cooled the world a little for a year or so but at Tonga the following is reported:

“[The plume] did reach the requisite height as far as we can tell,” Dr Hausfather said. “But based on the latest satellite measurements, there wasn’t actually that much sulphur dioxide in the gases that came all the way up to the stratosphere.

“Our latest measurement is that about half a million tonnes of sulphur dioxide ended up going into the stratosphere from this volcano. And that compares to about 20 million tonnes that came out in Pinatubo

Here in gladstone in the morning it looks like you are wearing yellow tint glasses. Sky is has a slight dirty dark tinge as well. Not that gladstone has the best air in the first place.
