Finishing the year

After weeks (months?) of poor weather, long work hours, stress and all that jazz, it's great to get out under the stars again!

Happy New Year, folks. Hope you all have a positive and productive (whatever that means to you!) 2022.

Here's a quick and dirty from last night. About 10minutes processing because I only have the laptop with me at the moment.

thanks Jeff, and good luck mate!! It's just a joy to be out for once.
Had the little 80ED with me for visual use and got to see some things I just never saw in Sydney (obviously). I love that I saw (the smudge of!) Andromeda, that's so exciting.
Dark skies are great.

ha, thanks fellas. That version has some badly calibrated flats, actually. I forgot to apply bias frames and it's heavily overcorrected which I had to try and salvage in PS. The centre of the frame is a bit of a mess, but it's being fixed now.
I'll post up a better version in the Deep Space section when I can edit it properly.

And finally, (and again) Happy New Year everyone!!
A few more hours to go.

I got some tarantula action last night to see out the year. It was first real light for my ASIAIR Plus... I did set it up and mess around the night before last.

Pretty happy with it, 3.75 hours and a quick process. WOGT81/ASI2600MC/ASIAIR/NEQ6
