Halloween Spider with added fake HSO

Yes when I say fake HSO it's the S channel as the green was worked on to get a more golden hue, I'm not sure but I like the effect.

This was 8/12 hours over 2 nights in some of the better conditions we have had for a while.
167 x180sec
flats dark flats etc.
Astropixel processor to separate the channels and then recombine. Photoshop etc.
Optolong L-Extreme 130TS Optics APO and Riccardi 0.75 reducer.

Comments and critiques welcome this is just a first draft.

I wondered how you got those colours from the duo band but now I see. It's a narrowband map with sii fake. It worked out really good! I mean it looks so natural and soft. Well done !

Well, Nik, I love it. An absolute killer shot of my favourite nebula.
About as good as it gets.

Still waiting for that tutorial btw, I’ve not forgotten

Nik,
Some great detail exposed and nicely framed too. Colour contrast is great
Well done for effort alone
I’m imaging the Tarantula at the moment in horrible light polluted Sydney, it just clears my back roof , but my TV antenna could be a problem in an hour
See how we go , bad weather is hitting us tomorrow for a week m, so might only capture an hour or two , I’ll take what I can get
Cheers
Martin

Thanks for the comments guys, Adam I haven't forgotten I will do it eventually, Martin I hear you about the weather, All the planets aligned for 2 nights of exceptional seeing in Melbourne, Paul, Astropixel processor is fantastic for channel separation and recombination, some of it is trial and error but stacking and channel separation is fantastic.

Very nice Image Nik and good on you for taking advantage of those couple of excellent Melbourne nights. There's another one (apparently) on the way on Wednesday 10th Nov.

Best
