SpaceX Complete Booster BN1 Stacking

The LabPadre Utube channel is covering the Booster BN1 Stacking in the Boca Chica Big Bay Assembly building. It is a big sucker. They had to put an extension on their biggest crane to get the necessary lift height. Still needs to have the grid fins installed at the top, think of it as a Whopper Sized Falcon 9. Not to sure where they are going to put it, because the Booster orbital launch pad is not ready yet. Perhaps for testing, without an upper stage, they could put it on a Starship launch pad, there is a vacant one at the moment that could be used for initial pressure testing.

They had to remove a section of the high bay roof, in order to get the crane access for the stacking.

Glen,
Things are moving quickly at Space X
This booster is absolutely enormous
I’ve been reading some data on Super heavy and the stats are ridiculous
Total thrust for an interplanetary mission at lift off is estimated at 7.5 million kilograms or 16 million pounds
Saturn 5 was 7.6 million pounds to lift 130 tons to orbit
I’m assuming that Super heavy can lift in excess of 150 tons to orbit ?
I’ve visited the Kennedy Space Centre back in 2018 for 4 days and saw pad 39A where the Saturn 5 and most Shuttle missions were launched
I really can’t imagine Space X Super Heavy at an estimated 16 million pounds of thrust ( twice the power of Saturn 5 ) being launched from this site
Is there another site Space X have in mind to launch this interplanetary behemoth ?

They're launching from Boca Chica, so the Florida site isn't being used. One of the plans they had long term for Boca Chica was to have an off-shore platform where passengers could disembark and then transit to the mainland via his Boring Tunnel tubes at ridiculous speeds.

I also visited the Florida site (in 2010) and man that Saturn V is enormous!!

SpaceX is remodelling an offshore drilling platform, currently berthed in Mississippi for dismantling of the old drilling tower. There is second one birthed at Brownsville, Texas waiting.
