ED127 triplet (5 inch)
This is a triplet ED refractor that performs extremely well for the price. It's comparable to the Explore Scientific 127ED as they are made in the same factory. I ditched (literally) the original focuser. Utter rubbish. I also ditched the one NG sent as a replacement. Just rubbish. In its place I had an adapter made to marry a FeatherTouch PC controlled (with manual as well if wanted) focuser that is a delight to use. Not cheap but does a great job.
There are some cosmetic scratches on the body paint due to the rings and dove tail mounting (does not affect performance at all as youd expect) but lovely optical performance.
The scope comes with:
1. Scope itself with stock rings and
2. 2" 99% Reflective Diagonal
3. VERY solid dedicated hard case with enough space for accessories as well.
4. 3D printed Bahtinov mask that fits perfectly at the end of the dew shield.
I’m on Bribie Island and pickup is very much to be preferred. I am asking $1200.
