Lovejoy from Frog Rock

G'day all,
I've been singing a lot lately "am I ever gonna see the stars again" to the Angels tune.
Well, the sky finally stayed clear on the 27th, so I got to see 2007 E2 Lovejoy. Congrats to Terry for his discovery.
Imaged through 31cm Newt for a total of 10mins 40sec with GSTAR and RGB filters. It shows the tail just a slightly redder colour than the head.
The nucleus was bright enough for Registax to track it nicely and has trailed the stars in the L,R,G and B channels.
Cheers, Qakka

Very nice image Steve.
Hmmm, GSTAR EX, I've nearly got enough $$ together. Won't be long now.

Very nice Steve! Everyone needs role models mate and you are one of mine! When I grow up, I wanna be an astronomer, just like Steve...

Does anyone know which way it is headed? Will it be another spectacle or is this one just for the seekers?

Baz.

Thanks guys,
The ephemeris I've got says it's going to get to 7.5 mag.
Hope it gets a nice tail too.
Cheers, Qakka
