CELESTRON 8" SCT + AltAz MOUNT

This has been an excellent grab-and-go visual rig for the last couple of years, very lightweight and easy to manage. Standard ADM 12" Dovetail bar means you can mount it to your Skywatcher or Celestron EQ mount too.

Classic black-tube C8 (2000/200 f10) with Bob's Knobs on secondary, very good used condition, very minor blemishes on corrector plate which do not affect views. Very quick and easy to collimate with Bob's Knobs, always very sharp views. Bintel/GSO manual alt-az mount is dead easy to use, very lightweight and matches this scope very well. Will NOT separate.

Other inclusions:-
- 1.25" mirror diagonal
- Celestron 25mm eyepiece
- T-adapter to M42 thread
- DSLR piggyback mount
- Celestron finderscope
- 3D printed Bahtinov mask

I really really don't want to deliver this, so I'm gonna set the delivery price at $100, which is realistically what it would be via PackSend or similar. Pickup very much preferred from Brisbane north, inspection welcome.

$800
Samford Valley, Brisbane.

Yes it's stable. I think the scope is about 15 years old, I'm the third owner, it's in very good condition.

Hi Mark

If your scope is still available for purchase, I'm looking to for a suitable first scope. Being a complete noob to astronomy I'm not sure if your scope would be suitable for a first timer (It doesn't need to be TOO simple ). I need something that comes with everything to get started. ie. I can walk out into the back yard and start using it. I'd prefer something that is totally manual to operate as I'd like to learn how to find objects myself before making things easier with a computerised system.
If this sounds like your scope and it's still for sale, I'll PM you my contact details and look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers
Rob

Hi Mark

Not sure if PM is working. Letting me know if you haven't received it.

Cheers
Rob
