Cyclops Optics

Hi All,

Looking for some advice re. purchasing a camera from Cyclops optics.

Given the conversion rate is good,I would like to get a camera from Cyclops optics does anyone know how much more will customs and duty charges be on top of the purchase price. Looking at two options one is under 1K and the other 1.5K.

Any info would be great.

Thanks in advance

Under 1k you may incur a GST cost though I have ordered from them and never paid the GST over 1K then if customs get their hands on it expect duties and GST you weigh up even after conversion it will probably be cheaper.

I have used them in the past for small things like filter sets, never a camera though. Your backing up against the Australian Christmas, New Year holidays and it's traditional delivery problems. Beyond that be aware that the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday shuts down pretty much everything up there by the last week in January through to mid February. So just time your purchase carefully.

I've ordered many items from Cyclops Optics. Robin uses Hong Kong Post for free shipping and it can take a while to arrive. He can use faster methods, but you'll have to pay. I've been lucky so far and avoided both GST and customs duties using their free shipping.

Another voice to the chorus. I've had a couple of things delivered, and a few more email conversations with Robin that were really top notch. Customer service is A++, and as mentioned below, ability to choose shipping method a huge plus. Last item for me was a small adapter that was 1 week via fedex.
