M83 with Toucam

Last nights effort of M83 with the Modded Toucam and ED80.

12 frames at 100 seconds each. Stacked in Registax, processed in Photoshop and PS Pro.

Still can't get rid of the Amp glow from the top left corner even with GradientXterminator!

Best I can get it so far.

Nice one Ken I would be happy to be able to get one as good.
Try doing a dark frame and subtracting it manually. Its a long shot but do a dark frame and change it to negative and merge it with your shot. There must be a way..there is always a way.

Please send these to the magazines Ken.
They really do deserve to be published.
They're amazing images using the humble(mighty) Toucam.

Congrats once again Sir !!!

You have got to be kidding, Andrew. They aren't good enough for a mag!

But thanks for the vote of confidence

Yes they are Ken, they may ask you to do an article on simple imaging with a webcam.

It's a shame you think so Ken but I really think they're worthy.
You have everyone's respect for the work you've accomplished, that's for sure.

There I was frigging around for ages sketching the bloody thing, and you whip it off with your Toucam, just for laughs!

You're a cruel, cruel man, Ken.

Great images!

Cheers,

Brian.

I am proud of my images Andrew, I just don't think they are mag quality. Unless like Andrew says, I did an article on Modded Toucam Imaging. Then it would make sense why they don't look flashy like DSLR images.

OK, here is my last effort at getting data out of my M83 image.

I stacked it with Registax 4 this time instead of version 3, which seemed to delete more amp glow, and Gradient Xterminator, then Loreal for the Blackeyes, and levels in Photoshop.

It is the best I can get it for 5 and a half hours of processing.

I hope it looks better.
