NGC 6744 Pavo Galaxy Reprocess

Capture NGC 6744 Pavo Galaxy back in May and wasn’t happy with the final processed image so decided to reprocessed whilst the weather is not co operative at the moment
8”f5 Bintel GSO newt on an EQ6-R Mount
Canon 600D stock DSLR with Baader coma corrector
ISO 800
2 hours of data ( 5 minute dithered guided subs)
Darks
PHD2 guiding
Goto and tracking EQMOD, StellariumScope and Stellarium
Frame focus and capture BYEOS
Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker
Reprocessed in Startools V1.5 Linear Data Set
Adjusted the following
AutoDev stretch ( Shadow Linearity)
Deconvolution
Less Sharpening
Life module 2 x Gamma
Life module Less more
Bumped up colour bias and levels
Noise reduction 4.5 pixels
Noise reduction compensation
Shrink star field 1 pixel

that is a really nice job you've done there Martin. 6744 has a low surface brightness and you've managed to get a fair bit of colour there and keep the noise low. minor critique it looks like you have just very slightly black clipped the channels

That guiding is tight. You've got the mount running beautifully. I've been contemplating this one for my next target but I'm still on the planetary journey with Saturn now at opposition. As always another great image.

I did collect a lot of good data so the re process was definitely worth it
It’s quite unique this galaxy as it’s nestled in an amazingly dense star field
A very challenging but enjoyable target
