Tpf 2014!?

I got an e-mail,from Astronomy on-line,last week.
In it I was most surprised to read that "Nasa's own extrasolar planet telescope plans are well under way, with a planned launch date during 2014 of Terrestrial Planet Finder, which is five spacecrafts, flying in formation, about 1 KM apart, they will function as an optical interferometer."....etc...???:shrug :
NOW is it just me or didn't NASA scrap this program some 2 odd years ago, about a year after the "Moon,Mars & Beyond"announcement was made by Bush?
Surely if TPF were "well under way" again we would have heard more about it?At least a press release,or something on space.com?
So,iether I've missed one of the biggest announcements,in months or someone at Astro-on-line is a few years behind the times?

I dont know what the situation is but I suspect the answer lies in the reporting game. It often amuses me the conflicting stories that can be released because an author missed the lastest press release but obviously needing some quick copy pulls something out and runs with it simply to produce copy..
