A short Rim with issues

An image gathered in the pursuit of refining a setup. Mount has less backlash and running PPEC but tilt in the 8" Quattro persists....

Stars not so great either from a processing point of view with darkish halos which might originate in the way I'm using colour masks among other things I suspect. Still happy with the overall result although always happy to hear of any suggestions to improve it all.

Ha 40x180s (under a full moon), OIII 41x180s
Quattro 8" f4 Newt, ASI1600MM-Pro, EQ6-R (RMS between 0.5 and 0.6)

It’s come up really well, better than I was expecting given your preamble
You look to have some tilt but other than that it’s really good

Thanks Colin and Marc. Might be being a bit overly fussy but have a few epic “fixing my Newtonian” posts still going around my head and the vague hope that one last mod will fix everything. I’m over that delusion however... As for processing stars, that’s going to take quite a bit more sit down time once the school holidays arrive :-) Despite the incessant mods and tweaks the Newt is giving me some results I never dreamed I could get in such a short amount of exposure time so happy with that 😊

Thanks Tim :-) Now have a slightly less 'washy' version: https://www.astrobin.com/full/4ft41q/F/ and had a go at reducing some of the ringing by reducing the OIII star size: https://www.astrobin.com/4ft41q/H/
