Hi All,
Cloud, cloud, cloud, here for weeks now, clear all day though, only manged to get ONE 6 Min. Exp. of ngc5139 using my newly aquired Vixen FL70S, +Canon EOS300D (modded) as the Globular is all point sources (stars) and not nebulosity it worked well as just a single exposure , im happy so far with the Fluorite Scope it seems to be doing what Fluorites should do but due to the weather havent had much chance to do enough comparisons (ED glass vs. Fluorite) but ill post them if/when the weather clears.
I love Globular's, there's something intrinsically powerful about them, it's a gravity thing I supposed with a dash of aesthetics, as far as I'm concerned Globular's are great, your image shows exactly what I like about them
very sharp cluster Jim and you only did 1 exposure shot! the colours look good. i guess that is what im expecting from a modded 300D. are you using an IR/UV filter?
Hi All,
Thanks for the comments, and Scott- the Vixen FL70S has an F-Ratio of F-8, trying to get the focal reducer for it for a wider FOV, Eric- No I dident use an IR/UV filter as I first want to see what the Scope does, I will try one out soon, It might help with bright stars, however in the past ive tried one on the ED80 and couldent see any difference.
