The Sun On SBS tonight

The Sun
8.30pm – 9.30pm SBS Sunday 18 March 2007
A fascinating documentary about the brightest object in our sky. The sun is a one million kilometre wide ball of burning gas - consuming four million tons of hydrogen every second and has enough fuel to keep shining for another five billion years. The sun's energy output is estimated to be 386 billion, billion megawatts. In 15 minutes the sun radiates as much energy as mankind consumes in all forms, during an entire year.
