Took advantage of last night's clear sky . Captured while waiting for M16 to rise.

24 x 300 sec lights
24 x 300 sec darks

Gain 120 with camera cooling at -10

Processed with DSS and GIMP

Colours are way to bright but was still happy with my outcome .

Thanks for looking

You should get a good M 8 Lagoon Neb with that setup. It'll be more impressive than m16.

What happened with the colour? It cant be as straight off the camera...is the 294 OSC? Seen similar with an individual with Protanomaly.

Cheers

Funny you should say.that . Glenn .

Captured around 65 x 5 minute subs of M8 as well but I think my gain was to high . As I am struggling to process my final picture .below is just 1 sub that has just been strecthed . I only just worked out I can fit M20 in the same frame

M8

Nice one. So its cropped and you can get both M8 and M20 in one field - thats a nice wide FOV youve got there.
Seems like a nice camera.

Yes it's has been cropped . I can fit m20 in with m8 quite easily . The 80nb has a nice field of view , I am still amazed at some of photos I have taken with this scope.
