C/2020 f8 (swan)

Comet C/2020 F8 (SWAN) from this morning. ED80 at F5.5, ZWO ASI 183mm Pro, Svbony LRGB filter set. Just over 10 minutes of data, stacked in DSS, processed in Photoshop.

Great shot Kevin!

Nice to see a bright comet with a tail again. I'm hoping to get a shot in the next couple of mornings (but as I'm stuck in light-pollution central it probably won't be anything special).

Thanks Pete. I have some LP in that direction also. It's been a while since we've had a bright one.

Nice one Kevin, it's shaping up to be a nice comet, it's definitely been a long time between bright comets. Got up at 4am to have another go but a cloud band came through at the wrong time, maybe tomorrow morning will be better at least the moon is out the way.

Comet C/2020 F8 (SWAN) from this morning. ED80 at F4.5, ZWO ASI 183mm Pro at -10C. The smudge to the left is galaxy PGC143.

Luminance = 30x30 secs
Red= 7x30 secs
Green=7x30 secs
Blue= 7x30 secs
