Cr69 Sketch

I got a bit of clear sky tonight, so did a sketch of Cr69... you know... open cluster, mag 2.8... Orion's head! That's the one...

Often gets overlooked I feel because of the other brilliant wonders in this part of the sky.

Beaut, really great, I admire you guys who sit there painting the sky with your pencils, really takes some dedication to si there and copy it from an eyepiece. Also shows the level of detail you can see with the human eye and not a photographic device.

Actually HOughy I think it was a Staedtler 2mm clutch pencil that I've had since I did tech drawing in high school. I say "I think" because the brand name is worn off it now...

Of course post processing (de-smudge, stellar circularisation, colour correction i.e. invert) were all done in PS CS2.
