Jupiter and Europa's shadow 21 April 1150 UT

194 frames
gamma 0
saturation 100%
gain 35%
brightness 50%
1/33
15fps
seeing 5/10
Toucam pro2

Nice cold night, seeing average, managed to get a shadow, see if you can find the moon on the face of the planet. The other moon to the right is Io; coming up to an eclipse.

Thoughts?

That's a great shot Paul! I was out using the LPI for the very first time and tried to capture that, but I won't bother posting the result! The seeing was atrocious and I'm still coming to grips with the equipment. Boy those moons move fast, in no time the transit was over and it was 'kissing' the edge of the planet.

Paul, nice image of Jupiter despite the seeing. Appears you have the Toucam pro2 operationally down pat. Arethere many ToUcam users on this forum?

Many steve, most all of us who post images in this forum are ToUcam, though a few use the DSLR and a few the LPI.
