Yep it is only 320x240 res as that is all the captur software lets me do as soon as I go up in res it captures double images in the video file.

The cam weighs 20 grams

Looks good.

I am busy with a security cam too ,bought from ebay (dome cam).
This one is a ccd cam.

At the moment i can only see the pic on tv and have a capture card on order.
Will let you know how i go tonight with this cam.
Can't do imaging with it yet .
Found a link with a lot of info on the cam.

You could have lots of fun with that.
I'd like to see what it can do with Saturn.

Hi David.
Tried it last night and just couldn't focus right.
Have to shorten the tube a little.
Focussing on a star looked very promising ,so it looks like it will be sensitive enough.
Will try again tonight.

I am going to capture with the WinFast VC100 XP card in real time.
So it will be an mpeg1 or mpeg2 file.
After that i can look for the best frames and stack them with registax.
Still waiting for the card to arrive so tonight i will take a pic from the tv image with my digital cam.
Darren how are you going with your cam? looking forward to see more pics.

First pic is done with a cheap cam taken infront of the tv.
Second pic is the sensor in a 2" mounting.
Third pic is the camera on the dob.
I'll try to take more pics tonight.

It was a quick one of some stars in the orion constillation.
Scope not collimated properly .
Second pic is M42 unprosessed.
Looks promising to me.

The exposure time was 10 seconds and it was at prime focus.
Very hard to track with a dob.
