Terminator on 12 day old Moon

Got a beautiful clear night (what, no thunderstorm?), so couldn't resist brushing the cobwebs off the telescope. 12-image mosaic, stitched in Photomerge Panorama. Celestron NexImage through Tasco 4.5" f8 reflector + GSO 2x Barlow, processed in Registax.

Nice piece of work Rob

Now all you need is the other 72 mosaic sections!

The quality you have achieved is a good wrap for the 114mm Tasco

Well done Rob, but a mosaic isn't a mosaic without an inconvenient piece missing right in the middle somewhere

Very nice Rob. Lots of detail.
Do you get a better result with the Barlow?
You would only need 6 shots without the 2x.

Thanks guys. Jakob, I use the Barlow because I like to start from a position of as much detail as possible given the obvious optical limitations of my gear, even if I resize later on. Also, the Barlow happened to be on the scope when I took it out .

And yes Mike, it is a ridgy-didge mosaic because there was one tiny little nick missing, dammit ! Can you spot the 'reconstruction'?
