Dark Tower

Hi,

Slowly getting in some time on the scope, having a remote location has its advantages and disadvantages, like every thing, I guess.

I have struggled to present this in a way that I think it looks both pleasing and natural, this is iteration 37.2!

I hope you find something in it that you like.

Nicely shows how dense the Milky Way is round there.

Gorgeous star colours.

Wonderful detail around the tip of the nebula and, as Mike n Trish said, great star colours.

Great stuff, Master Simpson!

That's a good result, lovely star colours and detail showing.

Reckon you could probably let the Ha be more dominant though - if you wanted the tower to be seen more prominently.

Have you tried blending HaRGB using Marco's method? works a treat

Nice image

An excellent result Bart, yes slightly subdued... but natural, one to be quite happy with I recon I love the tip of the tower, always reminds me of a fantasy mountain/castle

Thanks guys, I tried to be respectful to them, and yes it is definitely packed in there. I wonder what the average distance is between them?

Hi Andy, I did do a much harder Ha version and I thought it was a bit garish and it knocked my stars around for some reason. I di want to try to keep it as "LRGB" as I could although I will give that process a go and see how it turns out.

Thanks for having a look Mike. The tip seems to be the only area that really has any definitive structure. I like natural!
