USB to 9 pin COM

I need a second 9 pin COM outlet for my PC. If I use a USB to 9pin COM socket (male pins) will this be recognised on my PC Device Manager as COM2,so I can direct a device directly to COM2?

If it does not pick it up as Com2 then you can change it to be Com2
