you know your having a bad day when....
Well, I have spent 5 hours trying to rectify a network, then failed to do so, so abandoned that project and went and did the local shopping at Stocklands Jesmond. Well that just caught on fire didn't it when I had the basket full and waiting at the checkout - abandoned that and evacuated the centre filling with billowing acrid smoke. So called wife and then went over to Glendale supa centre. Almost had an altercation with a 6.8 guy wearing a pink skirt with tattoos down his arm saying mother _____ and various other things Now I don't know why he had it on but I not asking questions. The trolley I was pushing jammed a wheel and went sideways into his bumper. Now I am scared to fire up the BBQ, and fix the electrical connection for the G11 - I have to add a plug. I might leave that one go for today and play it safe......

funny I forgot the mushrooms for the BBQ - there were no volunteers to go with me and get some (my wife is the only one who eats them). Must go now, life is too hard......

Might be a good idea to have an early night and try again tomorrow Dave.
The Dude with the pink skirt and the tatts sounds like a character, you never know he may be an amateur astronomer as well
Cheers

Just for clarity Dave, was that tattooed fellow approximately 6'8" or precisely 6'8", it's really important to be precise, don't you think?

Punishment for the needless, selfish purchase of the G11, it's jinxed, you are a marked man h0ughy, better send the G11 down to me, and at the very least consult an astrologer......

It is the start of Chinese New Year...I suspect that you have cleaned your house today sweeping out your good luck and leaving only bad luck behind.
That is why I am doing no "cleaning" today...at least that is the excuse I am using...

No doubt you brought the fire on yourself as you did not really want to be there. You should have beat that big guy to a plup .he was sent to make you feel better with a victory that seemed unwinable...
AND you thought you had got through the crap of the day now this nonsense.
Mate a good day is the one you can talk about and that means surving to tell the tale you have so its a great day.
Relax everything is sent to build our character so we can put up with even more crap in the future.

when they are that big and hairy and dribbling at the mouth I don't argue... ok could have exagerated, maybe 6.4, but it could have been the platform shoes he was wearing too? The worst bit, he has my contact details

It must be a jinxed day for a few members. namely me.
Had a Garage sale over Sat and Sun, and had a very large, three paneled mirror for sale, set it all up for and early start, yep you guessed it the mirror blew over during the night and broke one panel.
Picked that up, set it up again, and right at the end of the day a huge gush of wind blew it half across the yard and smashed it into a 100 pieces.
Alice reckons it's at least 20 years worth of bad luck, I'm glad i don't believe in that stuff.
Cheers Leon

Well seeing it is the end of the day and my character has been strenghtened let me share with you what has driven me to distraction over the past 3 days. my father had a "procedure" in hospital re his heart. In and out in a bout 36 hours seemed to fast to me but what would I know I am not a doctor..cant help but think the insurance companies determine patient care ..mmm time up stats show you can live past this point off you go.. well got him home and he started bleeding, ring the hospital and great help ..see a doctor in your area..mmm check mustta cleared fast.. take him to a doctor nearby where you live.. sure who has their surgery openned on Saturday? Well took him to a closer hospital and after a couple of hours the bleeding is stabalized, it stops and they let him come home. Get that out of the way and then find a family fighting as though they come from different galaxies over an event that happened now some 15 years ago.. cant people move on. Just so petty just so infantile So without any problems of my own of course I have to sort out that mess but although they all seem settled it is only temporary they just can move forward. AND people wonder what the attraction is of being alone in the bush well it is obvious to me. Once your character is strong you can say goodbye to all the crap who needs it.

I hope your Dad fully recovers and continues on with a very high quality of life. I had a triple bypass 13 years ago and it was the absolute best thing that ever happened to me. Sometimes you learn and grow from tests, and tests come in all manner and guises.
You sound like a wonderful and supportive son and that elevates you very highly in my humble but sincere esteem.
