NEQ6 pro won’t align

I can’t align my NEQ6 although worked perfectly previously, I have always done a 3 star alignment with no issues now all of a sudden it is not aligning with the stars 1st star is so far out it’s not in the view finder this is repeated with all 3 alignment stars I have had to revert to using a telrad to align the 3 stars
after I have managed an alignment and I use the goto for viewing an nothing is anywhere near the view finder
previously never had an issue a quick 3 star alignment and goto was perfect
I have tried turning the mount off an back on also tried holding the escape button down on startup
the mount is on a tripod set on large pavers with a hole drilled in each so the mount is in the same position each time
any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks in advance

Hi mate I had a similar problem not sure if this applies your situation or not, the three (3mm) small allen type bolts in the side of the mount that hold the puck (the bit that connects to the saddle) were a little loose and the puck was moving, it actually fell off when I pulled on it
Regards
Simon

Did you update the firmware???? Anything past 3.27 is absolute rubbish - the mount will slew precisely to the star, then slew away several degrees. Even all the V4 firmware seems to do this nonsense.

Flash back to 3.27 if you can find it.

If you never updated, perhaps is a good time to.

I have not done an update it’s a 4.37.03 I know there is a new update out but wasn’t keen on doing an upgrade might have to rethink it
