Dunno about Bunyips. But drop bears are alive and well...

When Ned Kelly appeared out of the fog at Glenrowan wearing his armour (which made him look like he didn't actually have a head) 'Bunyip' was one of the theories put forward by the police looking in horror. Mind you, I doubt they said calmly 'Oh here comes a bunyip' - even if I knew exactly what they said I doubt I could repeat it here. So you might argue that the last bunyip died at 10am on 11/11/1880.

The Quinkans got 'em.

I had a neighbour as a lad who was the most useless, lazy creature God put breath into. His old man was the opposite. The only thing that could motivate this kid was threat of "the Quinkans'll get ya!".

I suspect that the bunyips have suffered species extinction due to habitat loss. The rate at which the bush is being logged or clear felled, as Alex noted , even the drop bears are in danger.

Funnily enough, I always called our very own Mental4Astro "Alexander Bunyip".

I'd forgotten about the Quinkans - probably eaten by the Yowie.

It is interesting that our Bunyips seem to be dieing out and yet in the US their bigfoot is clearly growing in numbers. What does that tell us?

Doesn't mean the Bigfoot numbers are increasing, just means that there are more Americans tromping through the forests, disturbing the quiet life of the big hairy ones.

I saw a ufo..what was it?..I dont know its unidentified☺.

The reason I ask about bunyips is I wanted to announce that I will be conducting bunyip spotting tours as I have a group of them down the back of the block near the river. Send your enquirey written on a $100 note care of the Tabulam pub..money back guarantee that you will.see something.

don't forget to advise your clients that bunyip poo rubbed in the hair wards off the drop bears. check it out, you won't find any documented drop bear attacks where the victim had bunyip poo hair, they all didn't! coincidence? i think not!

Absolutely ... we should bottle it and sell it at the airport to the potential victims..I love helping folk☺.

We made friends with a guy from England soon after he arrived and not only did he buy the drop bear story but at the beach a mate told him to be careful walking across the spider holes in the sand ( soldier crabs☺) as they were probably our most venomous spider...so there they were mate leading a safe path tiptoeing across the spider holes.

You may feel sorry for him but dont he turned out to be a real jerk..should have let the drop bears get him.
