Last night was fantastic, had the odd cloud but otherwise it was crystal clear. With the moon up I decided to switch to my modded camera with my 12nm Ha filter.
24 x 600s ISO 1600 (modded 1200D with 12nm Ha filter)
12 darks
32 flats
superbias of 100 frames
WO Star 71 and HEQ5 Pro
The mount guided at less than 1 arc second RMS all night and I pushed dithering to moderate every frame.
Processed in PI
Mild TGVDenoise while linear
Even milder TGVDenoise once nonlinear
HDRTransform
Local Histogram Equalization
Mild Curves
Thanks Martin. I had a go at setting up the internal temperature compensation with the new auto focus and it seemed to work pretty good. Better than just leaving it as is all night which is what I had being doing prior. Dithering is definitely making a difference as is the cooler weather.
I have finished it but will give it a while before I post it ..the colours look crazy even to me...and nothing like the detail in your image.
I only got 20 mins HA and only 10 mins of RBG and no luminance...which I thought I had..but I was falling asleep in the chair at the scope by that stage.
I also managed a NGC3324 which I will post shortly..
