I have the green light

I few days ago, after almost 4/5 months of waiting from my local council (had a few problems about spying and neighbors complaining), I can start to built my backyard obs.

I have placed a deposit on my new scope a GSO 14" RC. I can use items I bought for my 6" RC like my tak scope and howie laser for collimation and my auto focuser on it. I'll be getting a new heavy duty focuser also. https://www.teleskop-express.de/shop...on-thread.html

I'll be getting either a mesu 200 or a JTW mount. Camera is Moravian G4-16000 with OAG (using ZWO 174mm as guide camera), filters Baader LRGB Ha 3.5nm OIII 4.5nm and SII 4.5nm

I'll be using my guidescope the evostar 72ed for my wide field shots with the ZWO 1600mm.

I'll be laying the pier next week, slab by the end of the month and putting the shed up in may. I'm hoping to be setup by mid winter. I need to do the slab soon as we are now starting to get below 10C at night. Winter is typically sub temps at night.

Hi Mike

Council was concerned about me tracking govt satellites and imaging military aircraft as I live under their flight path.

Neighbors were concerned about how big the shed was and privacy.

I just think council was just being a pain and making up excuses.

Same here.. When I told my neigbour I am building obs, the first question was "will you be able to see into my bedroom?"..

My reply was "Yes, if I really wanted to..." which probably did not go very well.

So I decided to relocate the whole thing such that it could be considered as "shed" for which there is no need for permission...

I hope the round shed is also considered as shed...
