Astronomer romance 2019

Well, it's almost that time of the year again!

What's the most romantic astronomy-related thing your significant other did for you?

Last year I got:
A engagement ring with two tiny diamond stars on it and Snoopy.

And we got:
Matching wedding bands with Gibeon meteorite inlaid in titanium.

We don't really wear jewelery but we keep them in my everyday purse in a little box.

My super model gym instructor lady bought me a 16 inch astrograph housed in a 3 mtr dome with a 50 meg chip camera and took me in a private jet to see the eclipse...then I woke up...unfortunately this is a reoccuring nightmare as she just insists on touching me.

I forgot VD (how appropriate an acronym ) one year. My wife made sure I slept outside...I saw plenty of stars

I thought she was going to moon me, but she thought the better of it as I would have enjoyed that.

This is a perfectly true piece of fiction

Aw shucks Lewis and Alex, you are such total romantics aren't you!

Back to the OP: I love the wedding bands Cheryl-Ann! Sadly I wasn't aware of such things when we were married (way back in the last century!). I have looked at them a number of times: maybe I should put my order in for our 50th, but I think my wife would prefer something non-astronomy related...

I can't quite make out Snoopy on your engagement ring though.

Make sure you never mislay that purse!

All the best,

Dean

Wife and I have platinum wedding rings. The only place platinum can be formed is in a supernova. So for that, and indeed gold to be formed (plus you and significant other) was in the last star death in the nearby area of the universe...hmmm

Worked for me...
