Maybe a stupid question?

With the EQ6, are both the RA and Dec motors supposed to be moving when tracking? I have an EQ6 + Astromeccanica motors (which has external pulley system connected to the mottors). Only the RA motor seems to be moving during tracking. However, if i press North or South button (at various speed rates), the Dec moves.

An equatorial mount is designed so that there should be no Declination movement. Therefore the motors should only operate when you press the dec buttons or an autoguider makes a declination correction during imaging.

Only the RA motor should be running continuously
