Just lazy or she will be right mate

Hig Guys,

My neighbor to whom I am house sitting has two lovely little girls, I reckon one is about 2-3 and the other is much younger.

I saw him mowing the grass the other day and he had the older on on his lap with ear muffs on while he did this little strip of grass, I gave him the up and that was it.

Today a week later i looked over there and noticed he had mowed around his little girls play table instead of just putting it aside and do the lot.

So what do you say.

Leon

I wouldn’t leave it long in this weather - will attract snakes - particularly brown or tigers, and they aren’t timid (black snakes are) - these are aggressive and potentially lethal.

While I believe each to their own in this example I would agree with wavytone.

Thanks - I wouldn’t leave that long grass where kids play it’s a straight out invitation for snakes and someone will get bitten.

Leave the grass long where no-one goes maybe, provided you understand what might be hiding in it - and whether they bite.

"I saw him mowing the grass the other day and he had the older on on his lap with ear muffs on while he did this little strip of grass". I would be more concerned about this.

Absolutely this. It's totally their business how they approach or complete their tasks in their patch.

Seeing this is can be a little insight to how they operate however. Perhaps worth remembering if you ever ask them to look after the cat whilst you're away (for example).

As for giving the kids a ride on the mower, meh. Such things with Dad were the highlight of growing up in the boonies. I was the only 10yr old in class who could drive a manual car. Our neighbour taught me the backhoe when I was 13. I'm sure (at least I hope), there's many similar stories from others.
