Pretty lines

Some of my guiding figures tonight so far, getting 300 sec subs so far without any dramas. Though of pushing it to 600 to see what happens. Trying a little patch of sky that looks like nothing but has a little gem.

Looks like a few corrections are being made but your total RMS is pretty good

Guiding looks really good , min mo values are low so seeing must be excellent
RA Osc is on the money
Total RMS below 1 so cant ask more than that
I don’t think you will have any trouble with 10 minute exp

Not sure what to set my min mo values, really not sure what values to have in general. I tried 10 mins on Car neb right at the end to see what would happen, it was good no star tails, so I'm pretty happy.

After reading the whole PHD2 manual , PHD2 Best Practices by Bruce Waddington and Andy Galasso and upteen YouTube clips , I put together a brief summary of set up and guiding tips for myself , so when I’m guiding and things aren’t going to good I can just get my iPhone out of my pocket and read the tips etc...
Happy to share it with you and the IIS forum
Don’t know if it will help you but it’s a start
See attached
Merry Xmas

I noticed in your guiding photo just before Xmas that your guiding graph is measuring pixels not arc seconds
This may give you a false interpretation of how good your guiding is running
PHD2 recommend to set the guiding graph in arc seconds rather than pixels
Just a heads up
Here’s a photo of my guiding last night on M42 ( notice the difference in my guiding graph which is set in arc seconds )
I was guiding around 1.2 arc sec total rms error
Cheers
Martin
