Had the set up out last night again as conditions were great cloud wise, though the jet stream was up around 70 knots. My RC8 is still a little out of collimation, so I still have seaguls and comas, either that or it's the reducer I'm using.
I started imaging around 11 when it was about 25 deg I know isn't ideal but sorted the mount, polar align and guide scope to get 10 min subs.
22 x 600 sec subs and a couple of other subs with various times, Total of 2 hours 24 mins
ISO 300 and 400
Master Darks was from a 300 sec 400 ISO as my camera didn't want to work once I got back inside
Master Bias 400 ISO
RC8 with 0.6x reducer
Canon 700D unmodded
Guide scope with 120mm-s
EQ6 with belt mod
Cartes De Ciel
APT
PHD2
Sharpcap for polar aligning
One laptop ruling it all
Wow karl,
That's a stunning image you have!!
All the detail and colour you have captured is outstounding.
You can clearly see the blast wave that normally you see in Hubble pictures.
Also really good star colour.
Well done Karl
Cheers
Andy
Thanks Andy, for some reason I only took about an hour or so worth of subs. Now I've got guiding and can do 600 sec subs my thoughts last night were just leave the scope going to get the most. Not too keen on the heat today and tonight with my dslr.
