Running Man Nebula?

Well, I've looked at the images. I understand that the shape is seen in the dark dust lanes. But I really cannot be sure I've got it clear in my mind.

Does anyone have a image with head, legs, arms drawn on it they can share here so I can be further educated?

[I wouldn't have been much use seeing "pictures" in the stars!]

I'm with you Erick, the Running Man must be running so fast he has escaped both of us. Still, apart from the Southern Cross, Orion, and Scorpio, the rest of the constellations in light polluted city skies are pretty hard to make out as well. Maybe astronomers before television had better imagination.

Regards,
David.

The running man is the easiest to make out.

As you see it a head with 2 arms and 2 legs.

Thanks Eric

That is sort of what I had figured, but I don't think he'd ever win an Olympic event - he's a bit "twisted"?

Thanks all for your prompt help.

Another Eric
