finally decided to cure the fever!

well ive been finding my way around for a while now with a 6" dob and ive decided that id like something bigger (the girl next door got roller shutters so i gotta look a few blocks down now )

anyway... ive finally put my order in for a shiny new GSO 12" dob!
i figured it was my best option bang for buck wise, the alternative being getting an eq mount + 350d that would have ended up being thrown over the neighbours fence after a week of trying to work out how to use it
plus, i really like the ease of use with a dob (theres plenty of pictures on the internet that dont cost you thousands to look at lol)

anyway.. ive seen a few others on this forum that have the gso 12" and would like to hear any issues they have with them, also what eyepieces you use most/have added etc.
i already have UHC and O-III filters (cant wait to try these in a 12")
even any general advice regarding the use of it also if you have one, what was the first thing that made you really go 'wow' (besides the empty wallet)

it should be a good experience for me, considering i havent looked through anything bigger than an 8" yet

just one more question, i know that larger aperture is better for dso's but what about the planets? better resolution? or would the 6" be better to grab for planetary obs and save the big sucker for dso's
