Astronomy Photo of the Year 2018

Congratulations to Steven Mohr, for his Galaxy Category photo of 2018.

This competition is run by the Royal Observatory Greenwich, and Sky at Night magazine.

Steven's image was acquired over 20,5 hrs of galaxy, NGC3521.

I agree all those photo's are excellent and awe inspiring. Steven Mohr's Galaxy is just awesome.

Yep, Steve'e Leo Galaxy shot is quite excellent and indicative of the consistently high standard awarded in this international competition over the last 10 years. I think Steve had a ball in the UK but is happy to be on his way home now too ...wonder if the trophy fitted in the overhead
