A Little Summer Warmth.

Who needs to go to the sun for a hot time? Just checked the thermometer out on our deck and read 45.6 deg.C (In the shade). Got curious and put it out in the sunlight,......... 50 deg.C and this is maybe not the top reading because the thermometer only goes that high.

Bring on winter!

Yes... not a very nice day. And why do we keep getting 40+ on the weekend and 30- on the weekdays??

It's 43.5 degrees inside my observatory (thank goodness I have the luxury of checking the weather station remotely via the computer network), 28.5 inside (contemplating turning on the evaporative aircon), and I think outside shade temp is about 40.

Strangely Bickley has gone down from 40 to 36, yet Perth airport has gone up to 40.1 in that same time. Coastal areas are reasonably cool, so let's hope for an early sea breeze to eventually reach us inland people.

Line a cardboard box with alluminum foil and a glass cover place init a cup of water and you can have an solar energy coffee.. surprising what you can cook that way...that much Sun you could fry eggs in it I recon. Once you build a real effecient cooker the Sun will go away .

... 43.2 in the shade, 45.4 in the observatory .... hmm, it's going the wrong direction!

It wasn't so warm today (mid 30's) but tonight's no fun at all.

It's these kind of nights that I hate - strong gusty swirling wind which is as dry as a bone, sound of sirens now and then coming and going nearby and far away, etc. That nervous "calm" like you're waiting on the edge with the possibility of fire.

Not to mention the fact I'd be doing astronomy tonight if it weren't for this wind throwing small debre around everywhere.
