Guidescope mounting

Hi Folks
has anyone purchased or heard anything good about ADM Accessories in the US. I want to mount an 80ed on to a Celestron C8 and he has a setup for only $149 US plus shipping. Cloudynights seem to have a few good reviews on his stuff. Apparantly no problems with flexure and the whole setup weighs less than 1kg. Not bad when you need to be carefull of overloading your mount.

Hi Carl

ADM make first rate accessories, not quite Losmandy in quality, but close.

I used his mini bar mounting system on my old C-8 and it was excellent, no flexure and light, very stable.

I have no hesitation recommending ADM for cheaper alternatives to Losmandy, and, he is very prompt with his replies and service.

Cheers

You have looked at used Losmandy guidescope bits on Astromart? I recall spending about US$100 plus postage for a set of DR108 rings etc. I am very happy with them.

The ADM equipment isn't bad but Like John has mentioned there no Losmandy.

I have used both and would recommend the losmandy well ahead of the ADM but if weight is an issue there worth considering.
