Wouldn't it be nice ... EP Museum

I assume there is not already such a Museum in Australia. However, I am wondering if any club or institution has the beginning of such an endeavor. Perhaps they have a shelf of old EPs on display.

This was brought about because I was looking at some of my old Tasco EPs. Is 50 years old vintage? If so, these are vintage being from the 1960s. They were once very common and part of the story of many amateurs from that era. Over the years, many have simply been throw away. I considered doing the same with mine.

However, they are different to the H EPs available these days. They are made from metal and have bronze sleeves (see picture below.)

If the humble beginnings of a museum has commenced, where amateurs can see old EPs (so not a private collection), someone kindly let me know and I will donate these (if they want them) and perhaps some better EPs in future years. I am also open to living history, where people can sometimes use them rather than just being a static display.

Otherwise, I will keep these aside for a while hoping someone starts an EP Museum. It could become a tourist attraction for us amateurs.

You just can't bear to throw out that old junk, huh ? Tascos were junk then, and still are IMHO. Now a set of Clave's, or early Brandons from that era are another matter entirely.

These things are just tools. You might as well try to star a chisel museum, or a nail museum.
