M8 with IDAS D2 filter

I tried out the D2 filter but it gives a green cast to the subs. I might prefer my P2 even with the LED streetlights.

Most filters do bias one of the RGB channels. Does your processing program allow you to work on each channel individually?

Loading your image into photoshop, I see the red channel is black clipped where the green and blue are more even. If you can work on the red channel alone and try and match the tones to the green and blue channels that should help even out any colour cast. Don't give up on the filter just yet.

Thanks Tony

Kevin, I stack with DSS then adjust the black point in Photoshop to remove light pollution and not much else. Maybe I should put some effort into learning about processing
I'll have a play with the different channels tomorrow.

The P2 does have better colour balance to start with though.

Yeah some of them are definitely less colour shifted than others. Depends on the camera too. My CLS was a bugga with the unmodded K-5, but perfect on the modded 1100D.

Thanks Alex. I had another play with processing today. The first one is just more saturated, while the in second I balanced the colours in DSS before shifting to PS.
